I hope you all have a wonderful day and eat all of the food! At my ouse we had ham, roasted parsnips and potatoes, corn, broccoli and mashed swede. It was so good but I’m stuffed! I made cheesecake so that will be next to eat….I hope.
My boyfriend and I have three golden retrievers and sometimes we catch cute things on video. Most those times i like to share it and this is one of those times! It’s still very warm here even thought’s it’s October and the other day my boyfriend had the water hose out and was water the plants and Jack our older dog decided he wanted to play, You can watch it here.
It’s fun having three dogs and there is never a dull moment around here!
Do you love jewelry and accessories as much as me? I was in heaven when I found this site. They have beautiful jewelry, scarfs and hair accessories and they even have men’s jewelry! I recently bought some jewelry from my boutique because I am selling it after all! I bought two pieces and got something for free, I bought the Sydney Silver Wraps which is quite pretty and well made. I can’t wait to wear it!
I also bought the Frankie anklet
All the items are well made and lovely. I can’t wait to wear them! I also can’t wait to buy more..:) If you are interested please go to my link and sign up, you can also sign up for your own boutique! If you have any questions let me know.
I just wanted to post quick and share that I have my own “store” on Kitsy lane. If you don’t know what Kitsy lane is, it’s a site where you can sign up and chose to be a “seller” or you can sign up as a customer to buy the stuff from someone’s “store”. If you chose to sell using their site you get commission from whoever buys stuff from you. It’s free and all you have to do is sign up, pick stuff you want in your “store” and start telling people about it. It would make me happy if you used my link to either sign up as my customer or sign up and start your own store! You can buy everything from Jewelry to hair stuff! Accessories are my favorite part of dressing up…:)
I recently order a few things from my store and I can’t wait to show you guys what I got! I also had a few customers buy stuff from me and they loved the stuff they bought. As soon as I get my order I will share on here with pictures and all.
I hope you all have a great day! Happy Shopping!
I can’t believe it’s been three months since I posted on here! The months fly by and life is busy but I thought I would update today. I’m still working out and eating healthy and I feel great. The workouts I’m doing are full body work outs that include cardio. I’m doing a mixture of workouts instead of staying with one every day because I get bored fast like that. I love dancing workouts like Zumba and hiphop, So saying that, I have been doing a few different DVDs and going to a Zumba class once a week. I’m currently doing HipHop abs and Rockin Body by Shaun T but I’m also doing insanity. In my last post I mentioned that I was doing Jillian Michaels’ 30 day shred but I stopped doing that one for now but that doesn’t mean I don’t like it. I do two workouts a day, one day it will be a workout from Rockin body and HipHop abs and then another day I do two workouts from Insanity. I have lost 10lbs since March when I started working out and I lost inches as well (I can’t remember how many though). I have five more pounds to lose to get to my goal weight of 130! I’m sorry I have not posted any pictures of my progress, I need to work confidence up for that because my before picture makes me cringe. I will post one though just not now.
Both dishes were delicious and I would order them again! We spent the day at the Biltmore and it was fun even though it was a bit warm, luckily there was a lot of shade we could relax under. This coming weekend we plan on taking our bikes and going for a bike ride on the Biltmore trails, I heard they are to die for. They have everything from really easy casual trails to really nice mountain biking trails, I can’t wait to ride!
A little tip about going to the Biltmore, get your tickets TWO weeks ahead of time for a nice discount.
I hope everyone is having a great summer and staying safe and cool!
Until next time…
Hello and welcome!
Have you ever had one of those days or weeks even where you can hardly get through 10 minutes of a workout? I have been working out 6 days a week for the last 9 weeks but this week was really hard for me and I’m not sure why. I exercise for 40 minutes a day and I do 3 days of pure cardio (usually high impact) and 3 days of weight with cardio mixed with it. I always have one day of rest which is usually Sundays. This week was different though, I did my normal 40 minute cardio workout but at the end of it I felt horrible, I felt like i was going to pass out. I was drinking enough water and I also had some Gatorade but i felt like i was going to pass out, so I took Tuesday and Wednesday off because i still did not feel right. Today (Thursday) I felt better and decided to do a 30 minute workout of cardio and weights but ten minutes into it I felt like I couldn’t go further. I made myself do 20 minutes but in the end I felt weak and just didn’t feel right. I’m sure someone will say it was because I was dehydrated but I drank enough water before, during and after the workout.
I want to share a picture of me on week one and a recent picture but I’m still not comfortable doing that but I will do it when I tone up a bit more toned up. I can tell you that there is a little bit of noticeable change but I lost a few inched off my waist and my stomach is a little bit flatter. Also one tip: get rid of the scale because when you are working out and you go an weight yourself it’s going to look like you gained weight but really it’s just muscle. I always go by how my clothes fit and the only time I know my weight is when I go to a doctors appointment and they insist on making me get on the scale. I always end up weighing more then I think I should and of course that sometimes depresses me and it shouldn’t.
If you are interested in what workouts I’m doing, here they are:
Jillian Michaels 30 day shred
Shaun T’s rockin Body
I’m working myself up to Shaun T’s new workout DVD coming out called T25, I can’t wait! My boyfriend and I are going to do Insanity starting next week and it kind of scares me but I will do what I can and hopefully push myself a little harder to do it all.
Hello, hope you are all doing well! It’s been a while since I posted but you know how life is, it gets busy.
I wanted to talk about my weight loss, I started getting on the healthy bandwagon in February of 2008 after I separated from my husband, he was not very helpful and I ended up gaining a lot of weight. I went from weighing 130 lbs to weighing 250+ lbs in a span of 3 years. In Feb, of 2008 I moved out and away from my husband and decided I wanted to be healthy again. The road was hard but I did not give up and I ended up losing 100+ lbs in the span of 2 years. I would show pictures of me them and now but I don’t have any pf me from when I was bigger. I do however have pictures of me now. I am down to a “normal” weight now but my goal is to lose these last 10 lbs and to tone up. Three weeks ago I started doing Jillian Micheal’s 30 day shred DVD, which is far from easy. I’m now on workout 2 and I also added Shaun T’s Rockin Body DVD to that for variety. I love both workouts and I work out 6 days a week with 1 rest day which is usually Sundays (I call that day my “spa” day..lol) I have not lost more weight as of yet BUT I have definitely toned up a bit which is good to me!
To help me lose weight I have cut out ALL junk food from my diet, meaning I do not eat any processed food and only veggies, fruit, fish, not much red meat but I still eat it and chicken. I do have a tiny square of chocolate every now and then because you have to have a cheat day once in a while. people look at me weird when I say this but I have not had any fast food since 2008, No Wendy’s, Burger king, McDonald’s or any of those places, I refuse to touch that crap! I cut out soda which believe it or not has made me feel so much better. I drink mostly water (with lemon!) and sometimes I crave unsweetened ice tea which I make myself.
Here is a recipe for cucumber water which is also very good if you get sick of just water:
6 cups cold water
6 thin slices cucumber
5 thin slices orange or lemon (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve.
It’s very easy and refreshing, you should try it!
I could not have lost all this weight or exercised 6 days a week with out my boyfriend being there for me and encouraging me to do so! We also do a lot of fitness stuff together like trail running, mountain biking and hiking. It really helps if you have someone to do it with you!
I encourage you to work out because I know you can do it! If you want to share your weight loss journey too please leave your link in the comment section! It can be YouTube, blog post whatever you use!
P.S. I will show pictures of my progress soon. I took a picture when I started working out 3 weeks ago and as soon as I take another I will share.
